Totally agree re Black Magic Woman. It is a classic case of "less is more". Sure, Santana's version is a classic rock classic (if that makes sense), but the spartan arrangement of Fleetwood Mac's version gives it exactly the haunting sound that it requires. Add bags of soul from Peter Green with a pressure release blues lick ending makes Fleetwood Mac's version definitive.
